Explore Eldridge, Iowa

Eldridge is a growing community just north of Davenport, Iowa. With numerous parks nearby such as Sheridan Meadows or Scott County Park, this town was also mentioned in the movie Promised Land in which Matt Damon’s character, Steve Butler, is notably from the area of Eldridge, Iowa. Beth Bader, a professional golfer, competed on the LPGA Tour and is a proud Eldridge Iowan.

Eldridge’s main street area features restaurants and shops. Each year, The Moonlight Chase, one of Eastern Iowa's most unique road races, takes to the streets of Eldridge. The entire 4-mile course is lined with luminaries. The evening includes 1/4 mile and 1-mile runs for kids, as well as the 4-mile competition. The Moonlight Chase is the premier event of the Eldridge Festival which includes live music under the stars. The event takes place on the second weekend in July.

If you are visiting Eldridge do what locals do and hit up Maloney’s Pub or Al & Gerry’s on 2nd Street in downtown. Or start your day with a cup of incredible coffee from Cody Road Coffee. Next door to Eldridge in Long Grove is Glynn’s Creek Golf Course, which is a great track that offers rolling hills, tree lined fairways and a chance to get up and personal with deer that roam the park.

The Eldridge Community Center is an Indoor roller-skating rink and Community Center that hosts special events, weddings, and more but is a fantastic spot to lace up those roller skates with your kiddos or someone special. In addition, the Rolling Meadows Event Center is a new venue that hosts a variety of events in a stylish way. The design elements and architecture are unique and offer plenty of space for a multitude of events.
