PLEASE NOTE: The Rock Island Arsenal Museum is reopening on June 29, 2023

The Rock Island Arsenal Museum explores the history of Rock Island and the military history in the region from 1805 to the present day. The exhibits focus on the Arsenal’s role in supporting the nation’s military, its commands, and the larger Army Organic Industrial Base.
Free admission.

The Rock Island Arsenal Museum is open to the public, Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The museum is closed on Sundays, Mondays, Federal Holidays, the Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve.

Security and Access Requirements
Rock Island Arsenal is an active military installation. All visitors must enter through the Moline Gate. Visitors who do not have an approved Department of Defense identification card and are 18 years old or older must obtain a visitor pass at the Moline Gate Visitor Control Center located at 23 Prospect Drive, Moline, IL. The Visitor Control Center is open every day from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
All first-time visitors must present a valid state identification card, driver’s license, or valid U.S. Passport. Visitors must complete a favorable criminal background check before entry. If your driver’s license does not possess the gold Real ID star, you will need to provide a secondary form of identification (voter ID card, car registration with your name, passport.)
Foreign Nationals are not allowed access unless visiting for Official Business.
