Isabel Bloom Studio Showroom and Tour Center

The sculptures of Iowa artist, Isabel Bloom, are easily recognizable and continue to achieve national notoriety.  As a student at the Stone City Art Colony studying under American master Grant Wood in the early thirties, Isabel's style evolved into one of simple shapes and rounded features. The subjects she chose to depict - children, animals and mother/child motifs - revealed things that were important to her. Her ideas came from everyday life, images in her travels and her love of animals.

Since Isabel admired Victorian era bronze garden sculpture, she soon developed a sculpting medium to replicate that look. Her basic processes of wet cement casting, finishing and coating remain virtually the same today.

Free tours of our Harborview Production Studio are available where you and your group will learn more about our founder and inspiration, Isabel Bloom; experience the artistry of designer Donna Young and see first hand, every step of the handcrafting that goes into each sculpture. Exclusive tour pieces, as well as some of our more popular designs, are available for purchase at the conclusion of the tour.

As you browse the many sculptures displayed in our tour center, you will understand how Isabel Bloom sculptures communicate a feeling, a thought, a sentiment, or even share a memory with a loved one. That is why Isabel Bloom sculptures have become true treasures to give and to receive.
