September Festivals in the QC 2023

The fun doesn’t have to end with August! Here are all the great events and festivals happening the Quad Cities during the month of September.

1-4, Milan Harvest Festival – Enjoy the carnival, live music, disc golf, euchre, and fireworks! The festival raises funds for Rock Island and Milan youth sports, and other youth programs in the Quad Cities.

2-3, Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix— The world’s largest professional karting street race. Top race teams from coast to coast as well as foreign countries compete and it will feature some of open wheel racing’s stars of the future.

2-4, Tipi Gathering - Learn more about this region's Native American roots. At Illiniwek Forest Preserve, see tipis, ceremonial dancing, regalia, and more.

3-4, Labor Day Festival – The past comes to life with interpreters and actors to recreate pioneer life at the Walnut Grove Pioneer Village.

7-9, Trains, Planes and Automobiles Fest—The Geneseo Chamber of Commerce, Maple City Cruisers, Gen-Airpark and the Geneseo Model Railroaders all came together to showcase these modes of transportation with a car show.

16, Taming of the Slough – There are 3 aspects to this adventure race—canoe or kayak, mountain bike, and run 2 mi. to the finish line.  The race can be done individually or as part of a team.  It starts at 7:30 a.m. and there’s a post-race party.

15-16, Mississippi Valley Blues Festival – This annual festival has been going on for over 30 years.  Enjoy more than 10 acts in LeClaire Park in Davenport, with food and vendors.

16-17, Riverssance Festival of Fine Arts – Annual festival features over 100 of the finest artists from across the country and Canada, as well as local, renowned Quad Cities artists in Lindsay Park in the Village of East Davenport.

23-24, TBK Bank Quad Cities Marathon – USATF Certified and Boston Qualifier course, captures the essence of our nation’s heartland with its consistent connection to the Mississippi River and Midwest charm. This fairly flat and fast course features some of the finest and most beautiful river views in the country. starting in downtown Moline.

23-24, Bar-B-QC  —Includes music and BBQ along with craft beer in LeClaire Park in Davenport. This free event is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and will feature a People’s Choice and KDCS competition.

23-24, Quad Cities Brick Convention – LEGO fans come together to enjoy incredible LEGO displays, LEGO masters, Vendors, Meet and Greets, and more!
