Women Lead QC Restaurants

Women's History Month is all about celebrating women who play a vital role in our everyday lives from past to present. And the Quad Cities is full of empowered women who are providing our cities with incredible hospitality and food. Cheers to the hard working females in all of the restaurants around town. Give them some love by eating in, taking your food to go, and sharing their posts on social media.

Cafe Express Deli

Lena Georgi is the owner and leader of this small, but mighty, deli on Locust Street in Davenport. They are serving up scratch made soups, signature salads, and specialty sandwiches. Cafe Express is available for catering, delivery, pickup and dine in! Visit their website to place your next order.

Small Town Pastry

Chef Janice Hubbard is the heart and soul behind the delicious pastries at this premier bakery in Bettendorf. Their croissants are made fresh daily, their cakes are breathtaking, and the cupcakes are over the top. Not only do they have fresh pastries and cookies, they are serving up coffee, salads and sandwiches. Stop in to see Jannice at Small Town Pastry.

NEST Cafe

Director and Founder Laura Mahn began NEST Cafe with pop-ups around town in schools and churches with a mission to feed everyone in the community sustainably and locally sourced food that is also nutritious and delicious. In 2022, the Pay-What-You-Can restaurant opened their doors in Rock Island with an all-female lead staff. Their menu changes every day, so check social media for their weekly menu.

QC Fuel

In 2017 Kim Martin opened her first QC Fuel location in the Quad Cities. Every store offers a healthier and faster alternative to the traditional drive through. From protein shakes to coffee and lattes, Kim and her team are a staple in the Quad Cities.

Jennie's Boxcar

Crystal Reickard and Marguerite Dasso are sisters and owners of East Moline’s colorful Mexican restaurant Jennie’s Boxcar. The menu is full of classic Mexican favorites elevated to perfection and a must try salad called ‘What The Fruit Salad.’ It’s Pork Belly, watermelon, diced apples and pineapple salsa on romaine lettuce with a blueberry ghost pepper vinaigrette.
