Everything to do in the QC in July

John Deere Classic: July 2-5, 11 a.m. 

The John Deere Classic returns for its 55th year! Come out to TPC Deere Run from July 2nd to July 5th to watch the pros play. Watch golf, drink, eat, and listen to live music with special guests coming to Concerts on the Course! Carrie Underwood performs on July 4th , and Old Dominion performs on July 5th. There’s fun for all ages at the JDC! If you can’t make it out to the course, watch all rounds live on the Golf Channel and the final round on CBS Sports. Moline 250 Celebration: July 2, 4-9:30 p.m.

The city of Moline is putting on a celebration for America's 250th birthday! In partnership with Moline Centre and the Rock Island Arsenal, there's something for everyone at this party! Live music, line dancing, a picnic, and, of course, fireworks. Come down to Bass Street Landing and spend time having fun in Moline! Find out more about this event here

 

Red, White, & Boom: July 3, 5-11 p.m. 

Red, White, & Boom is back for America’s 250th birthday celebration! A fireworks display so big it spans two states! Get your best seats at LeClaire Park in Davenport, Modern Woodmen Park, or Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island. If you want to watch some baseball before enjoying the show, go to Modern Woodmen Park and watch the Quad Cities River Bandits take on the Cedar Rapids Kernels. Purchase your tickets for the River Bandits game here. Make it an evening! River Bandits: All month long

The River Bandits have games all month long! Find a day and come down to Modern Woodmen Park to watch some baseball. Fun activities are featured almost every night! See the full calendar and buy your tickets here .

 

East Moline's Independence Day: July 3 & 4

At the Rock Island Fairgrounds, East Moline is having an Indepence Day celebration! Kids' zones, games, crafts, live music, food trucks, and fireworks on July 3rd from 6-10:30 p.m. Then, on July 4th, the 44th annual Firecracker Run takes place once again! City of Bettendorf Fourth of July: July 4, 10 a.m.-10 p.m. 

The City of Bettendorf is having a huge 4th of July celebration spanning the entirety of the day! There’s something for everyone to enjoy that’ll make the 4th extra special. Watch the parade in the morning at 10 a.m. before the festival starts at noon! Food and craft vendors, family-friendly activities, and live music will line the area. Fireworks begin at Dusk at Middle Park, but the night doesn’t end there! Free Admission to the Figge: All Month Long

Admission to the Figge Art Museum is free all of July! Come in and experience all the art and displays offered. Look at beautiful textiles from the John Deere Collection, follow the Raven through glasswork, and look at the paintings that line the hall. Explore what the Figge has to offer! Steamwheelers: All Month Long

Steamwheelers games are happening in July One on Saturday 11th against the Fishers Freight, and one on July 25th against the Tulsa Oilers at Vibrant Arena. Come out and watch some football right here in the Quad Cities! View the Calendar and buy your tickets here.

 

Walcott Truckers Jamboree: July 9-11, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. 

The 48th annual Walcott Truckers Jamboree is coming to the Iowa 80 Truck Stop! Come for live music, a pork chop cookout, fireworks, exhibits, and, of course, the trucks! Both antique displays and a Super Truck Beauty contest! The event and parking are completely free. So, come down and celebrate the jamboree! Find out more about this event here.  

 

Luke Bryan at Vibrant: July 10, 7 p.m. 

Luke Bryan is on tour and is coming to the Vibrant Arena in Moline! Tickets are still available for the show! This is a part of his “Word On The Street” Tour which is his return to a full touring schedule. Learn more about the event here and get your tickets here.  

 

Moonlight Chase: July 11, 7:30 p.m.

The Moonlight Chase is back for its 41st annual run. When the sun goes down, thousands of runners come out! The streets of Eldridge, Iowa light up for the run while spectators come to cheer on the people particpating. After the run, stay for the afterparty for refreshments and music. All proceeds of the race go to Scott County Library System, the Eldridge Volunteer Fire Department, Long Grove Fire Department, North Scott Post Prom, Hometown Holiday, and others! Rock Island County Fair: July 14-18, 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m. 

The Rock Island County Fair is once more being celebrated at the fairgrounds! The fair is chock-full of activities! A carnival, livestock shows, vendors, live music, talent show, the Queen pageant, and so much more! There’s something for everyone! Come out and enjoy what the fair has to offer. The fair is completely free to get into until 8 p.m. every day. After, $5 dollars will be charged for entrance. Learn more about this event here.  

 

The Quad City Times Bix 7: July 25, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. 

The annual race is back with something that everyone can enjoy! Lace up your running shoes and get ready to embark on the historic 7-mile race. Whether runner or walker, professional or amateur, hit the pavement and stretch out your legs. Bix Jazz Festival: Jul. 30th-Aug. 1st 12 p.m.-10 p.m. 

The Bix Jazz Festival spans three days from Thursday to Saturday. Hosted by Common Chord and filled with everything a jazz or Bix Beiderbecke fan could need! A silent movie will be played at The Last Picture House with live music by Jeff Barnhart and Josh Duffee. A concert with Bix Beiderbecke’s real cornet performed at the Putnam Museum. A riverboat cruise aboard the Celebration Belle.
