What's Going on at the Quad-City Times Bix 7?

The Quad-City Times Bix 7 is running back into town on July 25th! This iconic 7-mile race through Downtown Davenport is back for its 52nd time. Run alongside elite athletes, starting at the Mississippi River and then ending with a huge after-party to celebrate your success. But don’t just celebrate this exciting race on the day of; there are plenty of things to do as the date gets closer. Let’s get into these exciting events!
Tuesday, July 21st
6pm, The Bechtel Trusts Senior Bix: Participants who are aged 50 years and older who are already signed up for the Bix automatically qualify for the Bechtel Trusts Senior Bix. They can choose to either run a 1- or 2-mile course. The beautiful path follows the Mississippi River and ends at the Isle Casino Hotel in Bettendorf. Your entry includes a t-shirt, on-course reimbursement, and access to the post-race party!
Thursday, July 23rd
5-9pm, Running Wild Sports & Fitness Expo: Come experience the premier Bix 7 expo at the RiverCenter South. Over 50,000 runners, walkers, volunteers, families, and friends will be brought to the QC. For two days, some of the top vendors in the health, wellness, and fitness industry will set up the best and latest running gear, nutritional products, and injury prevention.
7pm, MercyOne Genesis Brady Street Sprints: Looking for an action-packed watch? This quarter mile/400-meter sprint up Brady Street Hill is exciting for any thrill-seeker. Time trials take place at 7:00 p.m. Nine races highlight the evening. First place will be rewarded with $500.
Friday, July 24th
4pm, Bix Jazz & Family Jam: Start your Bix journey off right at Kaiserslautern Square Park in Davenport. Live jazz performances, delicious treats and refreshments, kid-friendly activities, and a very close proximity to the Bix!
6pm, Arconic Jr. Bix: This is an exciting way to get the entire family involved in the race! This race is geared towards children under the age of 12, with various distances for different age groups. Each participant receives a medal, a t-shirt, and entrance into the post-race party!
7:30pm, Bix Mix Street Party: When the sun goes down, it's time to party under the stars! Go down to West 3rd Street in Davenport and get ready to spend a fun evening together with other people. Let loose and toast to the day's accomplishments. The day doesn’t end at the race! Make some memories at the Bix Mix Street Party.
Saturday, July 25th
8am, Quad-City Bix Times 7: It's what we've all been waiting for! The 52nd running takes place on Saturday morning. Walkers, runners, and enthusiasts join together for the legendary 7-mile race. Beginning at the base of Brady Street Hill with live music and an excited crowd gathered around. “Run with the best” alongside elite athletes and Olympic medalists. The Bix is more than a race- it's a celebration of the area, community, and Bix Beiderbecke himself.
8am, Prairie Farms Quick Bix: A quicker way to do the Bix but still just as fun for those who want to participate. It starts at the same time and place as the Bix as you run up the Brady Street Hill together. Then, turn around and run back down the hill to relax before the post-race party!
9am, Motor Row Victory Lane: Keep the race day energy going with a fun party and lively celebration! It features live music, family-friendly activities, food, and entertainment from local businesses. Enjoy fun and excitement for all ages.
