Are you ready for holiday decorations, peppermint mochas, hot chocolate, and holiday music? Look no further for the top holiday events happening in November!
Holiday Hop - Kick off the holiday shopping season in downtown Moline during the 5th Annual Holiday Hop! Festivities begin on Friday, November 11th and continue on Saturday, highlighting many of the unique stores, restaurants, and much, much more. The Holiday Hop will feature in-store specials, live music, refreshments, kid’s crafts, Christmas movies, games, free trolley transportation and more.
The annual Quad City Arts Kwik Star Festival of Trees is back once again, full of holiday magic with 150 designer displays, unique attractions, special events, and the largest helium balloon parade in the Midwest. Check out all the fun November 19th through the 27th.
Join the Quad City Symphony Orchestra on a journey back to Hogwarts with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix™ in Concert. See Harry and his friends race through the Department of Mysteries, practice Defense Against the Dark Arts in secret, and endure Professor Umbridge™—all with Nicholas Hooper’s iconic score. There are only two showings, one at 2pm on November 19th and the other at 8pm that same day. Tickets are $26 – $61 each for adults, and $20 – $55 each for students.
The 30th Annual Holiday Parade will take place in downtown Davenport on Saturday, November 19th at 10:00 am. This FREE event put on by Quad City Arts features giant helium character balloons, along with pageant queens, dance groups, floats, marching bands and, of course, your chance to see Santa.

The Lighting on the John Deere Commons is a free annual community event that kicks off the holiday season. Join your friends and neighbors on Saturday, November 19th from 3:30-6:00 pm in downtown Moline for attractions that include Santa, horse-drawn wagon rides courtesy of MidAmerican Energy, live music, a children’s craft area and of course, the famous Lighting Ceremony and Fireworks. Free cookies and hot cocoa will be available to all guests between 4:00 p.m. and 6 p.m.
The Quad City Botanical Center is proud to announce the sixth annual Winter Nights Winter Lights Powered by MidAmerican Energy Company, opening November 18. The outdoor gardens will be in winter bloom with over 160,000 glowing lights, featuring new, entertaining experiences. Explore the Sun Garden, Children’s Garden, lawns, pond, and pocket gardens of our outdoor light exhibit as you experience our largest fundraiser of the year. New this year, visit the Conductors’ Garden for a dancing light show featuring a live recording from the Quad City Symphony Orchestra. Bundle up, stroll the gardens at night and visit the outdoor events canopy for hot cocoa for purchase by Rozz-Tox, a Downtown Rock Island business we’re proud to partner with. Bring the kids for free crafts to make and take or plan your visit on one of our special event nights.
Julmarknad - Prepare for the holidays by attending Julmarknad, or Christmas Market, in Bishop Hill, IL. The daily attractions include Swedish folk characters, traditional Swedish holiday decorations, holiday music, craft activities, and Christmas gifts for sale. All our shops, museums, and restaurants will be open to satisfy your holiday needs. From November 25th to December 4th, there will be plenty of exciting and unique activities going on every day.
Cirque Musica: Holiday Wonderland - A must-see holiday event to usher in the magic of the season, Holiday Wonderland is set to ignite joy and wonder to Adler Theatre on Saturday, November 26th. Holiday Wonderland is an all-new musical journey that will transport audiences to a magical land far away for a fun-filled, unforgettable holiday-themed show experience.
Million Dollar Quartet Christmas – On November 27th, Million Dollar Quartet Christmas brings that momentous homecoming to life with an electrifying tale. Journey through a story of Christmas past, present and future, jam packed with unforgettable performances of classic holiday hits and favorite chart toppers.
Walnut Grove was a Scott County cross-roads settlement and stagecoach stop of the 1860s. The Pioneer Village Annual Christmas Walk takes place on Sunday, November 27 from 12o 4:00 pm. Visit Santa and take your own photos, kids can make Christmas crafts, write letters to Santa or make reindeer food, listen to Old Time Christmas music in the church, buy chili, cookies, hot drinks and unique gifts, watch blacksmithing and enjoy Christmas decorations throughout the Village.
Circa ’21 brings back a family favorite with Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. The classic holiday movie is brought to life onstage, filled with dancing, laughter, and some of the greatest songs ever written. From November 9th to December 30th, come experience this Circa ’21 family favorite and Irving Berlin classic.

Santa Claus the Musical - After 1,000 years of faithful service, Santa Claus has decided to retire. But not all the elves in Santa’s Workshop are too thrilled about his chosen replacement. With the help of his tech-savvy daughter, Beatrice, website designer Nick is in for the adventure of his life as he prepares to take over the reins to Santa’s sleigh. With shows from November 25th to December 18th and jingle jam-packed with a sleigh full of fun Christmas music, Santa Claus: The Musical is sure to put you and your entire family in the holiday spirit.
