July Festivals in the QC 2021

Summer festivals have always been a highlight of the Quad Cities event calendar.  Outdoor festival favorites are returning this summer to the QC bi-state regional destination with new safety practices in place and the same amount of fun.  More events can be found at the area’s most comprehensive calendar through Visit Quad Cities here.

Festival fun continues in July!

Red, White & Boom - July 3
Fireworks over the river between Rock Island and Davenport with family activities before the fireworks at 6 p.m. at LeClaire Park in Davenport and Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island. Largest show between Chicago and Denver.

Bettendorf 4th of July – July 3
Starting with a parade at 10 a.m. the celebration continues through the afternoon with games, music, vendors, and concludes with fireworks at Middle Park at dusk. 

East Moline Fireworks – July 3
Fireworks at dusk in River Bend Park with family activities before the fireworks starting at 6:30 p.m.

Firecracker Run – July 4
39th Firecracker Run with several types of races.  Run starts at 7:30 a.m.

East Moline 4th of July Parade – July 4
Starts at 1 p.m.  Location: Along 15th Ave from 3rd Street to 13th Street - This year the parade will begin at 3rd Street and end at 13th Street.

John Deere Classic – July 5-11
Watch golf pros compete during this PGA TOUR event at the TPC Deere Run golf course in Silvis.  The John Deere Classic celebrates its 50th anniversary this year.

Walcott Truckers Jamboree – July 8-10
Celebrating America’s truckers since 1979 with a free festival with exhibits, carnival games, Trucker Olympics, live music, and fireworks at the world’s largest Iowa 80 Truckstop. 

Mercer County Fair – July 13-17
Carnival, 4-H exhibits, animals, and grandstand shows at fairgrounds in Aledo.

Rock Island County Fair – July 20-24
Carnival, 4-H exhibits, animals, and grandstand shows at fairgrounds in East Moline.

Bix Porch Parties – July 23-24
New in 2021, Bix Block Parties celebrate the neighborhood with multiple blocks of events programmed by adjacent business owners throughout downtown during the Quad-City Times Bix 7 weekend.   Five different Bix Block Parties will feature a variety of live music, food and family fun.

Bix 7 Run/Walk – July 24
One of the top ten running events in the United States.  Covering 7 miles, elite runners from around the world come to compete in this world-renowned event. This historic out-and-back race through downtown Davenport is for runners and walkers alike. The 7-Mile course starts at the base of Brady Street Hill and is lined with live bands and cheering crowds.

The Heights of the Era – July 24
Bix Beiderbecke is a huge part of the Quad-Cities’ musical heritage.  Dixieland jazz of the 1920s will be part of Bix 7 race weekend, with a new music festival – The Heights of the Era, happening all day at Lindsey Park in Davenport.

Quad Cities Senior Olympics – July 26-31
Compete in over 90 different athletic, performing arts, visual arts, and other events for people 50+ on the campus of Augustana College.
