Labor Day Weekend 2021

Sad that summer’s coming to an end? Well, don’t worry! There’s still plenty to do to get in that last bit of fun and relaxation this Labor Day Weekend.  Naturally, Labor Day weekend will have some wonderful events to celebrate all of America’s hard workers, both past and present.

Fancy a little time travel? For a trip back in time head on over to Pioneer Village for their Labor Day Weekend Festival. Catch fascinating demonstrations of Blacksmithing and weaving. Get the kids involved with games and crafts too! Make a day of it with food and ice cream for sale at Pioneer Village’s Soda Fountain.

Now back to the future for some good old-fashioned fun! Parades are an American staple for any national celebration, so come celebrate with us at Rock Island’s annual Labor Day Parade.

The QC River Bandits’ season is coming to a close faster than we’d like. So, grab a drink and your favorite game day treats to savor a classic slice of Americana.

Want something a bit more fast-paced? We’ve got you covered! The Xtreme Rock Island Grand Prix is coming to town and cannot be missed. This is the largest karting street race in the whole of north America and drivers come from all over the world to compete right here in the QC.

If it exists, there’s probably a competition for it. That game of horseshoe you’ve played at backyard bashes is having its own tournament this Labor Day weekend. The Illinois State Horseshoe Pitching Association is putting on the Illinois state tournament from September 2-5.

The Backwater Gamblers will have their regularly planned free water ski show at Ben Williamson Park on Sunday at 6:30 pm, plus an extra one on Labor Day Monday to end the season.

What would the Quad Cities be without live music? Labor Day Weekend has all different kind of artists queued up for your enjoyment.
