Pianos to Play in the QC
The OneSound Piano Project through the River Music Experience has strategically placed ten artist-designed pianos in iconic Quad Cities locations for the public to interact with and bringing more music, art, and interaction to our community’s public spaces. OneSound adds another artistic element to our already thriving creative community in the Quad Cities.
Whether you’re exploring the gems from yesteryear at Antique Archaeology, grabbing your groceries for the week at Freight House Farmers’ Market or enjoying a day at Niabi Zoo with the family, there will be plenty of opportunities to add your own tune to this summer’s soundtrack.

The individual pianos are placed indoors and outdoors at:
- Niabi Zoo (Coal Valley)
- Arts Alley (Rock Island)
- Freight House Farmers’ Market (Davenport)
- Quad Cities International Airport (Moline)
- Runner’s Park (East Moline)
- Antique Archaeology (LeClaire)
- Quad City Botanical Center (Rock Island)
- Mercado on Fifth (Moline)
- VanderVeer Botanical Park (Daveneport)
- Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center (Bettendorf)
Outdoor pianos will be in place until Labor Day weekend, with indoor locations remaining until next May.

OneSound is an initiative to put the soundtrack of today into the hands of our community by providing them with not only the idea of but the means to engage in creativity and break down social barriers through music. OneSound brings people in our community together through music. Whether it's children playing in a park having their first musical experience with one of these pianos or a practiced musician getting a chance to play in public.

River Music Experience is a local non-profit working to activate the power of music. By connecting everyday people with the opportunity to engage in music, they are amplifying the role music plays in our community.
