There’s so much to love about a QC summer: pool time, patio happy hours, and—of course—perusing local goods at farmers’ markets. Luckily for us, the Quad Cities is a hub for fresh produce and local, artisan-made products.

Here are some of the local farmers’ markets that make summer that much sweeter.

QC Farmers’ Market

This growing market in Rock Island is full of local farmers and food producers. All the products are homegrown and handmade, without exception. Some of the vendors include Grateful Graze, Broken Shovel Farms, Mad Farmers’, Never Dun Growing, and so many more. They also offer online shopping then pick up at the market. Quad Cities Growers Markets

Muscatine Area Farmers’ Market

You can look forward to visiting local vendors with flowers, jams and honey, pastries and coffee, and so much seasonal produce. Bring the kids, the dog, even your cats on leashes!

On the corner of 3rd and Cedar Street every Saturday May-October: 7:30-11:30 a.m.

Freight House Farmers’ Market

One of the more popular markets in the QC, The Freight House Farmers’ Market has over 150 vendors with roots in Iowa and Illinois, including farms, nurseries, bakeries, meat and seafood providers, cheese makers, specialty food producers, and food trucks. Parking is scarce due to the popularity, so be sure to check street parking signage.

The outdoor market is open 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays starting May 6 at 421 W. River Drive in Davenport. The temporary location is the parking lot at the Scott County Administration Building, 600 W. 4th St., Davenport, until the river recedes.
