This month enjoy the amazing opportunities of Museum Month at participating Quad Cities museums. From art, science, military history, trucking and geology each of our museums offers a unique experience for every visitor! This year, 20+ museums and historical sites are participating, with many offering exclusive deals and discounts. Quad Cities Flavor Fest – October 2nd
Dive deep into the cuisine that the Quad Cities has to offer! On October 2nd, sample flavorful food and drinks made right here at the Quad Cities Flavor Fest. Not only will the delicous food shock you, but so will the live music by Chicago Farmer. There will be a range of prizes and awesome auction items with a few other ingredients in the mix for a recipe of flavorful fun and fundraising! If that doesn't convice you, you should also know that 100% of proceeds directly support Common Chord’s music education programs. So come on out to enjoy delicous food, live music, and win some great prizes!
Fall Festival @ The Ridge – October 5th
On October 5th from 2-5 pm make your way down to The Ridge in Davenport to kick off Fall while also supporting local small businesses! With over 30+ vendors at the 3rd Annual Fall Festival, enjoy plenty of shopping at local boutiques, indulge in fall treats, savor food from food trucks, sip on refreshing drinks, listen to live music, and so much more!
Back From the Dead – October 11th & 12th
Get ready for two days of thrills, chills, and nothing short of a good time as downtown Rock Island presents Back from the Dead on October 11 & 12. From haunted houses and ghostly walking tours to seasonal vendor markets and family-friendly activities, there's something for everyone! These Halloween themed events are open as early as 8 am and some close as late as 11:30 pm, so don't be afraid to bring your costume and your courage. Mark your calenders and come on out for a spooky adventure!
Pumpkin Patches – All Month Long
This month, you can enjoy a family favorite and head on out to your favorite pumpkin patch! You can choose from four of our local pumpkin patches all month long, The Buffalo Pumpkin Farm, The Corn Crib Nursery: Cribfest, Pride of the Wapsi Pumpkin Patch & Corn Maze, and Shady Knoll Farm. You'll be able to find all your favorite fall snacks like spice donuts, cider and kettle corn and enjoy some of the best entertainment around!
Local Farmers Markets – All Month Long
Throughout the entire month of October, you can immerse yourself in our local farmers markets. Pick from the Geneseo Farmers Market, the Freight House Farmers Market, LeClaire Farmers Market, and the Quad Cities Farmers Market or visit them all! This event is the perfect way to spend your saturday mornings with local homegrown produce, meats, eggs, milk, and hand crafted foods. You may also find handmade crafts and new items you never knew you needed. Visit our local farmers markets all month long!
