July is here! Time to break out the BBQ, Fireworks, and best Patriotic apparel. The fairs are starting up and the golf course is waiting! Kick off your July with the perfect event!

Red, White, & Boom: July 3, 5-11 p.m.
Red, White, & Boom is back! Enjoy the Quad Cities' largest fireworks display for the Fourth of July from the three viewing areas: LeClaire Park in Davenport, Modern Woodmen Park, and Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island. Free admission for everyone who attends! Enjoy live music, food vendors, and Kid Zones! At Modern Woodman, the River Bandits will be playing against the Cedar Rapids Kernels. John Deere Classic: July 2-6, 11 a.m.
The John Deere Classic is back in the Quad Cities at TPC Deere Run from July 2-6. Enjoy four days filled with the best golf the world has to offer. There are events and days for the whole family to enjoy! Come out to Silvis and support the golfers as they compete for their last chance opportunity to play in The Open Championship. Enjoy activities, delicious food, and live music while also going out to enjoy golf. If you can’t make it out to the course, watch from home on Paramount+, Peacock, ESPN+, or the Golf Channel. Orion Fireworks Festival and Lighted Parades: July 3, 5-10 p.m.
Orion is celebrating the Fourth of July with a festival of events all ending in a lighted parade and a large fireworks display. Enjoy food vendors, face painting, sky divers, and live music from Mo’s Garage. The Medforce Helicopter will also be flying in and be on display. MuricaFest: July 9, 3-7 a.m.
An American backyard bash is heading to the shared patio of Mississippi River Distilling Company and Green Tree Brewery in LeClaire. Rock out to live music, get some good drinks and food, and wear your best ‘Murica gear to win some prizes! Mary Poppins the Musical: July 9-Sept. 6, 5:45-9:30 p.m.
Circa ‘21 is putting on the Mary Poppins musical! Following the story of the movie and the book, we’re introduced to the troubled Banks family, who have an opening for a new nanny. Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep ready to help this family. With songs from the movie and the same magic from every adoption, this musical is sure to get everyone in the family tapping their toes. Have a delicious dinner while watching this wonderful musical. Walcott Truckers Jamboree: July 10-12, 10 a.m.-9 p.m.
The Walcott Truckers Jamboree is being celebrated at the Iowa 80 Truck Stop! Three full days of live country music, a Super Trucks beauty contest, antique truck displays, food, and fireworks. There’s free admission and free parking included with the event. Spend a summer weekend with the whole family seeing the best that the world of trucking can offer. Swing for All Abilities: July 12, 12-5 p.m.
Swing for All Abilities is going on July 12 at Saukie Golf Course in Rock Island! Come out and raise money for the Adaptive Recreation Programs provided by Rock Island Parks and Recreation while enjoying a lovely day of golf. Tickets are $70 per person and teams are two people. Rock Island County Fair: July 15-19, 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
Rock Island County Fair is coming back for another year! This event features a carnival, livestock shows, vendors, live music, and so much more! The fair is free to get in until 8 p.m. every night. Come out and show your best talent at the talent show or participate in the Fair’s Queen Pageant! There’ll be something for everyone out at the fair this year. Find out more about this event here.
Food Truck Fight: July 19, 12-8 p.m.
The Food Truck Fight is returning to the Quad Cities on July 19 at The Rust Belt. Head down and try some of the best food from the food trucks in our region, listen to awesome live music, and spend your night having fun with friends in this lively outdoor space. There will be a limited capacity allowed in, so buy your tickets here in advance or buy tickets the day of for $10. The champion is announced at 7 p.m., so make sure to get there early and try everything you can and cast your vote! Find out more about this event here.

The Quad City Times Bix 7: July 26, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Bix is back for its 51st year! This historic 7-mile race will bring together every runner and walker, from amateur to professional. Beginning at Brady Hill Street and will loop back to the biggest post-race party the Midwest has to offer. Familiar faces you’re running with are Bill Rodgers, Joan Benoit Samuelson, and Meb Keflezighi. Learn more about this event here or register for the race here.

Mississippi Valley Fair: July 29-Aug. 3, 7 a.m.-11 p.m.
The Mississippi Valley Fair is back with a line-up that’ll rock the house! Kane Brown, Nate Smith, TLC, Third Eye Blind, and more!
