Kick Off Your Summer Right
Attend awesome events in the QC, where there is always something for everyone. Listen to live music under the stars, get into downtown festivities, and enjoy fresh local food throughout all of June! Here are some can’t miss events happening this month:
June 6-7: Aledo Rhubarb Fest
Aledo will be celebrating 33 years of its spectacular Rhubarb Fest! Aledo, named “The Rhubarb Capital of Illinois” in 2007, will have something for everyone- from ice cream to soda to pie. Admission is free, and events include live entertainment, crafts, historical features, and a 5K. This unique event draws thousands out every year to explore vendors, partake in a rhubarb treat, and enjoy one another’s company.
June 6: Downtown Davenport Summer Kickoff Block Party
Start your summer with a fun Block Party in downtown Davenport. There will be fun activities for the whole family including face painting, live music, and balloon animals. Then at 8pm, head to the Skybridge Courtyard for Silent Disco featuring DJ Buddha, Shane Brown, and Dr.Lee. You won't want to miss it! Click here for more info!

June 7: Be Downtown – Bettendorf’s Summer Block Party
High in energy and small-town charm, enjoy music, food trucks, and an assortment of local vendors. A bags tournament will be held from 12-4 pm, pro wrestling from 2-6 pm, and live music throughout. Kid and adult friendly, come have a day out and connect with your community at Be Downtown!
All Month Long: Farmers Markets
The Quad Cities is home to amazing farmers markets, with the Freight House, Geneseo, and Rock Island farmers markets opening at 8 am on Saturdays. Geneseo and Rock Island ends at noon and the Freight House Farmers Market closes at 1 pm. With fresh, local produce and baked goods alongside plenty of artisan crafts, these farmers markets are a perfect way to start your Saturday!
All Month Long: Summer Concert Series
If you are looking for live music, these live concert series are sure to impress. On Thursdays, head to Bass Street Landing at 6 pm or on Monday's head to Moline Township Activity Center at 6:30 pm with a blanket or chair to enjoy some Quad City rock and roll. Fridays, starting June 14, Schwiebert Park will host a concert series at 6:30 p.m. with food trucks for scenic concerts along the river. LeClaire Park is hosting a concert series on Sundays at 6:30 pm, starting June 9th. Perfect for a family evening outing to watch the sunset over the Mississippi River. The Starlight Revue concert series is back again this year at Lincoln Park on Tuesdays, with food from Hy-Vee Grill starting at 5 and the concert following at 6:30 pm.

June 6, 7, 12, 13, 14: Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat
Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has hit the Quad City Music Guild. A retelling based on Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis, this musical infuses all kinds of different music into one colorful story. Put on by the Quad City Music Guild, it’s sure to be a smash hit for all ages to enjoy.
June 14: Quad City Unity Pride Parade
The Quad City Pride Parade is coming to town again for all to enjoy. The parade will follow a route from Downtown Davenport, IA, across the Centennial Bridge, and finally ending in Rock Island, IL.

June 15: Ride the Island
Join River action on June 15th for the opportunity to ride the roads and trails of the Rock Island Arsenal. You'll be able to learn about and explore the history of the island while enjoying scenic views, food trucks, live music, and fun activities throughout the day.

June 21: For Those About to Yacht
Are you finding yourself in need of smooth tunes and a fun-filled night? For Those About to Yacht is setting sale to the Tangled Wood on June 21st to entertain the crowd with melodies from the late ‘70s and early ‘80s. Put on your Sperry's and leave your boats at home for a smooth musical night.
June 22: Great Race
The Great Race is coming to the Quad Cities! A race of classic cars spanning from St. Paul, Minnesota to Lake Murray, South Carolina will be stopping right here at the John Deere Commons on June 22. Watch as these cars and racers come in and cheer them on as they stop for the night. Look at and snap a picture with your favorite car of the race. A fun experience for all ages to enjoy.
June 5-8: Pulling Focus Film Festival
Welcoming a mix of powerful independent films, filmmaker Q&As, workshops, and storytelling to the Quad Cities, The Last Picture House is offering a chance to connect with creators, community members, and fellow film lovers in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Featuring a powerful selection of short films by local, regional, national, and international filmmakers representing the Black Diaspora; stay for an Audience TalkBack, where you’ll hear more about the work, the creative process, and the stories behind the stories. It’s an evening of celebration, conversation, and connection to kick off a weekend of cinematic excellence.
