August Festivals in the Quad Cities 2023

Let’s close out summer with some fun festivals! Support your community and take part in all types of events in the Quad Cities!

1-6, Mississippi Valley Fair – Week of nightly grandstand concerts with top name, national music acts, carnival rides, demos, and more at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds in Davenport.

3-5, Bix Jazz Festival – Davenport native, Bix Beiderbecke, is a jazz legend who performed during the 1920s and is in the International Jazz Hall of Fame.  Festival dedicated to music of his time and Dixieland style.  Rhythm City Casino Resort is the main site.

5, Heartland British Auto Fest – Classic British autos on display on the LeClaire Levee.

10-12, Tug Fest – Giant tug-of-war across the mighty Mississippi between LeClaire, Iowa and Port Byron, Illinois with fireworks and live entertainment all weekend. 

11, Anime-zing! – A celebration of all things anime, bringing together passionate fans from near and far for a thrilling weekend of immersive experiences. 

11-12, Quad Cities Balloon Festival – Watch these quietly majestic balloons take off, race, land, and glow at night at a new location at the Rhythm City Casino Resort. 

12, Quad Cities Multicultural Festival – Hosted by the Quad Cities Alliance for Immigrants & Refugees (QCAIR) and Quad Cities Interfaith, experience the diverse and unique cultures of the Quad Cities. 

17-20, Alternating Currents Festival – Throughout the weekend, a dozen venues across downtown will host a wide variety of live music, film screenings, comedians, and visual artists.  Over 50 national and regional acts, big and small, will perform throughout the festival. Patrons are encouraged to travel from venue to venue and explore all downtown Davenport has to offer.

19, Freedom Fest – The day-long festival in East Moline includes a variety of events with a car show, vendors, kids activities, capped off by live music in Runners Park in the evening.

19, Floatzilla – River Action wants all canoes and kayaks for an attempt to break the world record for the largest flotilla of canoes and kayaks happening at Lake Potter in Rock Island.

19-20, Beaux Arts Fair—Artists from across the country set up shop in Davenport and work ranges across the art spectrum.

24-26, Mo. Live! – Join the community in Downtown Moline for concerts by local artists on Friday and Saturday in the Vibrant Arena parking lot. Local businesses will also be showcasing the work of local artists for an artwalk.

24-27, World Series of Drag Racing – Weekend of top drag racing at the Cordova International Raceway.

25-27, Planet Funk Con – Comic-Con convention with vendors, artists, celebrity guests, game tournaments, and live entertainment at RiverCenter in Davenport. 

26-27, Farm Days in the Village —See tractors on display and enjoy activities like wagon rides, petting zoo, magician, and more in the Village of East Davenport.

26, Quad City Symphony Riverfront Pops - Picnic and listen to music by the Quad City Symphony Orchestra on the banks of the Mississippi River at LeClaire Park.

26, Vettes on the River – Vettes on the River is an all Corvette Car Show in LeClaire, supporting Local Veterans.

26, Aledo Antique Days – Start off with the Aledo Volunteer Firemen Pancake Breakfast, then head to Downtown Aledo for the Tractor & Engine Show, Odd Bettie’s Pin-Up Contest, Antique Vendor Market, Craft and Food Vendors, and live music.

26, Hand in Hand Music Fest—Join us for a night of music to empower children and adults of all abilities. Wicked Liz & the Bellyswirls will be headlining along with Danger Zone, Dani Lynn Howe Band, and Moonshine Run.
