July Festivals in the QC 2023

The 4th of July falls on a Tuesday this year, but we’re still celebrating accordingly in the Quad Cities. Here’s what’s going on to celebrate. And the rest of the month's festivals in July.

July 3 – Red, White & Boom!

Fireworks over the river between Rock Island and Davenport with family activities before the fireworks. Largest show between Chicago and Denver. Spectators can watch from free viewing areas along the Davenport riverfront including LeClaire Park, Quinlan Court, Centennial Park and Bechtel or from Schwiebert Riverfront Park in downtown Rock Island.

July 3 – Fireworks at the Bend

Fireworks are at River Bend Park in East Moline

July 4 – East Moline Firecracker Run & Parade

The annual run starts at 7:30 a.m. on July 4, followed with the parade at 1 p.m. in East Moline.

July 4 – Bettendorf Old-Fashioned 4th of July

Starting with a parade at 10 a.m. the celebration continues through the afternoon with games, music, vendors, and concludes with fireworks at dusk.

July 4 – Tunes in Town: Celebration with Dance The Night Away Productions

Come join us for this special daytime celebration immediately following the 4th of July parade and enjoy family FUN, music provided by Dance the Night Away Productions, and food by the DeWitt Noon Lions (Pancake Breakfast) 7am - 9:30 am and the DeWitt Nite Lions (Pork Chop Lunch) 10:45 am - 1:00 pm.

July 4 – Pork in the Park for the 4th of July

Serving grilled pork chops and pork patties with all the trimmings Celebrate Independence Day surrounded by over 850+ Military Service Flags with Patriotic Music by Geneseo’s Maple City Band in beautiful, and shady Geneseo City Park! It doesn’t get better than this! Concert starts at 1 PM.

The festival fun is not limited to Independence Day!

July 5-9 – John Deere Classic

Watch golf pros compete during this PGA TOUR event at the TPC Deere Run golf course in Silvis. The John Deere Classic celebrates its 51st anniversary this year.

July 7, 14, 21, 28 – Mercado on Fifth Summer Market

Open-air, cultural event featuring food trucks, produce/retail vendors, live entertainment and educational activities for children. There will be a variety of children’s activities, delicious Mexican cuisine, and unique retail stands selling everything from jewelry to hand-sewn blouses and imported ceramics. This event happens every Friday in July!

July 11-15 – Mercer County Fair

Carnival, 4-H exhibits, animals, and grandstand shows at fairgrounds in Aledo.

July 13-15 – Walcott Truckers Jamboree

Celebrating America’s truckers since 1979 with a free festival with over 175 exhibits, live country music, Trucker Olympics, and fireworks at the world’s largest Iowa 80 Truckstop.

July 18-22 – Rock Island County Fair

Carnival, 4-H exhibits, animals, and grandstand shows at the fairgrounds in East Moline.

July 29 – Bix 7 Run/Walk

One of the top ten running events in the United States. Covering 7 miles, elite runners from around the world come to compete in this world-renowned event. This historic out-and-back race through downtown Davenport is for runners and walkers alike. The 7-Mile course starts at the base of Brady Street Hill and is lined with live bands and cheering crowds. The race starts at 8 a.m.

Local event organizers are dubbing that weekend as #BixBRAI weekend and here is what's happening in downtown Davenport! There are even more events happening throughout the Quad Cities.

July 29 - RAGBRAI ends in Davenport

From the first dip in 1973 to the 50th anniversary dip in 2023, Davenport is proud to be the end city for RAGBRAI this year. 30,000+ cyclists will be in the Quad Cities to dip their tires in the Mississippi River at the end of the week-long 50th anniversary RAGBRAI ride on Saturday, July 29, 2023.
