Thanksgiving Weekend 2022

Looking for things to do while that delicious Thanksgiving feast sits in your tummy? The Quad Cities has plenty of fun and exciting things for everyone to experience during Thanksgiving weekend.

For those about to rock, this show will shoot to thrill! ACDC tribute - Electric Shock takes the Redstone Room Stage along with QC Rock Academy on Wednesday, Nov. 23 at 7 pm. Doors open at 6 pm at Common Chord.

The annual Quad City Arts Kwik Star Festival of Trees is back once again, full of holiday magic with 150 designer displays, unique attractions, special events, and the largest helium balloon parade in the Midwest. Check out all the fun November 19th through the 27th. (closed Thanksgiving Day)

On November 25th only, you can taste homemade cookies and other baked goods that you can buy by the pound at the Cookie Walk. On November 26th, you can listen to Lilly Setterdahl detail the story of all her husband has done to preserve the Swedish-American experience. Julmarknad continues until December 4th, but Thanksgiving weekend ends with more delicious cookie baking.

Join the Circa ’21 cast and crew on a journey to the North Pole, with Santa Claus the Musical! After 1,000 years of faithful service, Santa Claus has decided to retire. But not all the elves in Santa’s Workshop are thrilled about his chosen replacement. With the help of his tech-savvy daughter, Beatrice, Nick is in for the adventure of his life as he prepares to take over the reins to Santa’s sleigh. There are shows November 25th through December 18th, take a look at the website for specific dates and times.

Circa ’21 brings back a family favorite with Irving Berlin’s White Christmas. The classic holiday movie is brought to life onstage, filled with dancing, laughter, and some of the greatest songs ever written. It promises to be a bright theatrical experience for all ages, November 9th through December 30th.

Need a fun, fast-paced and laughter-filled show? Check out Comedy Sportz Quad Cities! Two teams compete for the most laughs, with no script or plan, resulting in non-stop fun for both the players and the audience with matches every Friday and Saturday night.

Free Fallin, The Tom Petty Concert Experience has successfully toured the country since 2007 and played before thousands of fans at many festivals, fairs, venues, and concerts in the U.S. and Canada. On November 25th, they’ll be rocking out at The Rust Belt in East Moline. Tickets start at just $19.75 for night full of Tom Petty’s greatest hits.

Fan of country music? Check out The Cowtippers at Rhythm City Casino on November 25th. The Cowtippers are a seasoned group of musicians who intend to bring you nothing but the best in old-school Country music. Come enjoy the timeless music of Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Merle Haggard, George Jones, and more when the Cowtippers take the Show Lounge stage. Heads up, this is an adults only event, so attendees must be age 21 and up.

Another fun adults-only event for Thanksgiving weekend is the Frog Town Craft Beer Festival on November 26th at The Rust Belt. Come on out and enjoy some pretty tasty craft beers, with tickets starting at $30.

The Quad City Storm takes on their “War on 74” rivals, the Peoria Rivermen, at the Vibrant Arena at The MARK on November 26th at 7:00pm. Fans are encouraged to bring new and packaged socks to toss on the ice after the very first Storm goal of the night as part of Holiday Sock Toss Night. And as an added perk for the adults, there’s a special dollar beer promotion! So bring your cowbells, your packaged holiday socks, and your energy as we cheer on the Storm!
