Free Live Music Series To Return to Rock the QC This Summer

By Jonathan Turner

A never-ending cornucopia of live music fills the Quad Cities all year, with a tremendous lineup of talented local artists.

But summer is particularly special, as each of the major towns in the area hosts free live music series, and the 2026 schedule has been set, starting with the first one on Thursday, May 21 with the Crooked Cactus Band at Moline’s Bass Street Landing plaza. Clear your calendar, because there’s are lots of great musicians and tunes to choose from!

New Third Thursday Live Music Series at The Plex, Bettendorf, 6-8:30 p.m.

The Plex in Bettendorf is bringing live music to the neighborhood this summer with a new Third Thursday live music series taking place monthly, from May through September.

Beginning in May, visitors can enjoy live music for free at The Plex every third Thursday. Each event will feature a different artist and vendors and will rotate locations throughout The Plex neighborhood. This gives attendees the opportunity to experience different businesses and everything The Plex has to offer. The series is designed to create a fun, welcoming atmosphere to enjoy local entertainment and support businesses throughout The Plex.

The first event will take place on Thursday, May 21st outside of Oscar’s Pub (5027 Competition Drive, Bettendorf) and will feature live music from Luke Fox from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The kickoff event will also include a free Yoga/Pilates session hosted by Reform by Tapas. Registration is required for the class and can be completed at TapasYogaShala.com. Guests are encouraged to grab dinner, drinks, and enjoy a summer evening at The Plex while enjoying live music.
