Halloween Fun in the QC 2025

Spooky season is back in the Quad Cities, bringing fun and frightening festivities with something everyone can enjoy. With freaky family-friendly movie nights to hair-raising haunted houses, there’s always a Halloween themed event to keep busy.

Haunted Houses

The Skellington Manor’s Theater of the Macabre in Rock Island is a REAL haunted house.  With multiple levels of special effects and live characters, this walk-through attraction will leave you questioning whether this experience was all effects or if it was paranormal activity. This haunted manor is voted one of the best for Halloween Enthusiasts. Don't freight, there is more where that came from with 20,000 square feet of terror at the The Haunted Feargrounds. This thrilling experience is one people of all ages can enjoy. Held at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds, this spooky attraction has food and beverages available for purchase. But beware, this attraction is only available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in October.

Walking Tours

Uncover the chilling history of Davenport with the Darker Side of Davenport Walking Tours. From barbershop murders to college campus séances, the walking tour will embark across downtown’s most eerie and nerve rattling legends that helped to shape the city’s past. The 90-to-120-minute journey starts at the former Germania House, traveling to the dark tales that lie in the surrounding neighborhoods. A “sitting” edition of the walking tour will explore the eerie legends from the comfort of the former hotel presenting photos and visuals from the outside tour. But, On Halloween night, special guest John Brassard Jr. will lead the tour throughout the city. Author of “Eerie Quad Cities”, Bassard will share more details and stories throughout the tour. You can also take a walk, or a drive, and catch a glimpse of nearly 100 decorated scarecrows at the Heritage Woods of Moline drive-thru scarecrow festival. For the third year in a row, residents, staff, and nearby businesses have accessorized bird-scarers from doing everyday activities to cosplaying as celebrities. Come and spot all the different scarecrows throughout the local community.
