Lopiez Pizza

Lopiez Pizza is now open in downtown Davenport at 429 E. 3rd Street. Located at the foot of the Arsenal or Government Bridge, Lopiez has been creating quite the buzz due to their social media presence . If you haven't heard of it yet, Lopiez is a New York-Style pizza joint with specialty margaritas and a rock 'n' roll attitude.

Lopiez pizza comes by the slice as well as 10 or 20 inches. They feature a few appetizer options including the garlic knots, as pictured below. Lopiez has their own house ranch, called El Rancho Sauce, a spicy twist on the dipping sauce so many of us Midwesterners expect at a pizza place.

Lopiez has quickly become home to one of the best margaritas in the Quad Cities Area. They have several different recipes but all have fresh lime juice, quality tequila, and house-made agave simple syrup. The current house margarita is rimmed with Hawaiian Black Lava Sea Salt!

My favorite is the La Sancha, made with Ancho Reyes, a chile liqueur, that has just a kiss of heat at the end. Rimmed with Tajin, a Mexican seasoning, it is a wonderful balance of sweet, salty, and spicy.

Lopiez also offers catering, if you organizing a luncheon or want a twist to your next private event, you could have New York-style pizza!

If you're dining in, Lopiez has a cool, punk rock vibe. There's always great music playing; it is constantly packed - so you're bound to run into a friend or two; and it is kid-friendly, so you can take the family with you! Plus there's a pinball machine.
