Putnam Museum Keeps Magic of Polar Express Pajama Party Alive!

Watching the Polar Express movie in our pajamas at Davenport's Putnam Museum is one of our most favorite Quad Cities family traditions.  Unfortunately, this year there won’t be a scavenger hunt through the dark with flashlights, our 4-year-old won’t stand endlessly watching the Polar Express train come around the tracks, no annual photo, and no BIG screen showing of one of our favorite holiday movies. It's hard to believe. Or is it….

In typical Quad Cities fashion (I can hardly write this without my eyes filling with tears), the Putnam Museum decided they didn’t want the magic to take a year off and are offering: Polar Express Pajama Party At Home Kits! You can buy them through the Putnam Musuem shop online. Pick-up for the Polar Express Pajama Party Kits will be December 18-20 at the Putnam Museum. They will not be shipped. You can stop in and pick up your kit anytime the museum is open that weekend. I highly recommend grabbing some museum shop gifts when you stop by.

There are also glass mugs, travel mugs, a really nice long-sleeved shirt (I want one of these…), and other items for sale. You can also “add a person” to your kit order so if you’re a larger family like ours, you can get a few additional items without buying another full kit.

So, get your kit and snuggle in for a magical evening with one of the true classics of Christmas! Perhaps you'll learn “There’s no greater gift than friendship.” Santa will remind you: “This bell is a wonderful symbol of the spirit of Christmas, as am I. Just remember, the true spirit of Christmas lies in your heart.” And, maybe, just maybe, you'll Believe!
