June Festivals in the QC 2023

There are events going on every week of June! Check out some of the festivals and events we have going on in the Quad Cities during the first month of summer.

BE Downtown - June 3 Bettendorf, IA

Be Downtown, a free outdoor event, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023, at the 15th St. Landing (15th St. and State St.) – presented by Ascentra Credit Union and the Bettendorf Business Network. This family-friendly event will feature live music, food trucks, multiple bags tournaments with cash prizes, children’s activities and more. Beginning at Noon, live music will be provided in two-hour sets throughout the day by area bands. Late night live music will continue at three downtown Bettendorf businesses - Harley Corin’s, Purgatory’s Pub and Riverside Grille. The K&K Family Fun Zone will run from Noon to 6 p.m. and have bounce houses, bubble stations and a hands-on science station by Absolute Science. Click here for more information.

Aledo Rhubarb Festival – June 2-3 Aledo, IL

The Rhubarb Festival is a celebration of everything rhubarb – from pie to ice cream to soda pop. If it’s rhubarb, it’s here! Aledo’s affinity for rhubarb became official when the town of 3,600 was named the “Rhubarb Capital of Illinois” in 2007 by the State of Illinois’ 95th General Assembly House of Representatives. The unique festival draws thousands of visitors to sample a variety of rhubarb treats, explore vendors, and enjoy live music. Click here for more information.

Pride Festival at Schwiebert Park – June 2-3 Rock Island, IL

This Pride Month Kickoff Celebration will host sponsors, vendors, food trucks, and performers at Schwiebert Riverfront Park. Put on by the Quad Cities Pride Alliance, the festival will promote equality, awareness, and inclusivity during the Month of Pride. Click here for more information.

2023 Geneseo Music Festival – June 16-18 Geneseo, IL

Geneseo’s longest running annual festival enters its 55th year in 2023! Head to the fest for some summertime fun on Father’s Day Weekend in Geneseo for the Music Fest Queen pageant, parades, cookouts, a street dance, live music, craft vendors, food trucks, tractor displays and more! Pride Parade and Party at Bass Street Landing – June 17 Moline, IL

Join The Project of the Quad Cities for our third annual Pride Party at Bass Street Landing on Saturday, June 17, 2023! This event is FREE to attend. Enjoy performers like QC Rock Academy, Been There Done That, and drag performances to close out the night. It opens with the Pride Parade at 2:30 pm and the party at 3:30 pm. Pulling Focus African American Film Festival of the Quad Cities - June 16-19 Davenport, IA

The festival program will run June 16-19, 2023, and feature short films created by local and regional filmmakers representing the Black Diaspora. Films will screen throughout the weekend at the Putnam Museums, and more venues to be confirmed in Davenport as well as Moline and Rock Island. The Festival will close on June 19th with an awards ceremony for the filmmakers. Click here for more information.

Quad Cities Juneteenth Festival – June 17 Davenport, IA

The Friends of MLK are proud to host the Quad City Juneteenth Festival at the Lincoln Center from 11 am – 6 pm. Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. This festival is complete with food and retail vendors; local and national history information; community and resource booths; and fun-filled games and live entertainment for the whole family, this is sure to be an event you will not want to miss. Rhythm on the River – June 18 Rock Island, IL

Rhythm on The River, presented by Common Chord, will celebrate the contributions of Black musicians, and highlight Black voices in our local music scene. Rhythm on The River brings the Rock Island riverfront to life with music spanning the decades. This community concert is a component of the QC Juneteenth festivities, led by the Lincoln Center and Friends of MLK. Click here for more information.

Quad City Air Show – June 24-25 Davenport, IA

The Quad City Air Show is back! After a few years off due to Covid restrictions we are ready to showcase aviation again over the skies of the Quad City Regional area. The show will feature the incredible USAF Thunderbirds and USAF F-22 Raptor Demonstration with the Raptor Demo flown by local pilot Captain Sam Larson. For over three decades, the Quad City Air Show has showcased the importance of aviation and highlighting the military, and in 2023 looks forward to showing the United States Air Force and the best civilian and warbirds pilots and aircraft in the world. Chalk Art Fest – June 24-25 Rock Island, IL

In its’ 7th year, Quad City Arts’ Chalk Art Fest will be at Schwiebert Riverfront Park in downtown Rock Island, IL. The festival starts at 10 a.m. on both days and goes on till 7 pm on Saturday and 5 pm on Sunday. This FREE, live outdoor art festival brings together hundreds of artists who spend hours transforming the cement pavement at Schwiebert Park into a chalk art gallery while competing for cash prizes. Visitors strolling by can see the wonderful works of art as they come to life, vote for their favorite, and even do some chalk art by participating in the community piece. The festivities include a full line-up of live music, food trucks, concessions, a beer garden, face painting, and a kid’s chalk zone area. Over $1,800 in cash prizes will be awarded, including a people’s choice and youth category award.  Click here for more information.
